1. “Personal Data” in this statement has the same meaning as defined in the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong) (“PDPO”).
2. Personal Data provided by you will be used for processing and responding to your enquiries and other related matters, verifying identities and, subject to your consent, to conduct direct marketing activities as described in paragraph 7 below.
3. If you do not provide us with the information annotated with an asterisk, we will be unable to process your enquiry.
4. We may disclose or transfer your Personal Data to (i) our associated companies and service providers which assist us in fulfilling any of the purposes above; (ii) professional advisers which owe a duty of confidentiality to us; and (iii) law enforcement agencies or regulatory authorities where required by law.
5. We will take appropriate measures to ensure that your Personal Data is properly protected once we receive it. Once we receive the transmission, only our authorized employees or service providers will be able to access your Personal Data. However, there is no security guarantee for any data transmission over the Internet, and there remains an inherent risk associated with transmitting data electronically.
6. Your Personal Data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above and will be deleted within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with our internal policies.
7. Use and transfer of Personal Data for direct marketing purpose
From time to time with your consent, we and any of the Permitted Classes of Persons (as defined below), to market goods, services, facilities, activities or promotions within the Classes of Marketing Subjects (as defined below).
In connection with the above, we intend to:
(a) use your email address to market and promote the following categories of goods or services: properties (both residential and commercial), restaurants and dining privileges, hotels, spa facilities and services, sporting equipment/activities and facilities, cinemas, entertainment/cultural activities and facilities, books and stationery, toys and educational goods, clothing, footwear, fashion accessories, food and beverages, florists, eyewear, jewellery, watches, health and beauty products/services, motor vehicles, car parking facilities, banking and financial
services, electronic appliances and home appliances/furnishings, whether such goods and services are provided by Hang Lung Group Limited, Hang Lung Properties Limited or their associated companies (the “Hang Lung Group”) or by tenants of commercial properties of Hang Lung Group (collectively, the “Classes of Marketing Subjects”); and
(b) provide your email address to Hang Lung Group companies which are providers of any of the Classes of Marketing Subjects (the “Permitted Classes of Persons”) so that they may send you direct marketing.
If at any time in the future you do not wish to receive direct marketing materials and/or communications from us and/or the Permitted Classes of Persons, you may exercise your opt-out right by notifying us in writing at the contact details below.
8. You have the right to request access to and/or correction of your Personal Data in accordance with the provisions of the PDPO.
